Welcome to tocforme. At this site you will find information on the basics of the Theory of Constraints and Lean Manufacturing. There are many examples of problem solving using the 5 focusing steps of TOC (Theory of Constraints) and getting better organized using 5S (sort, set-in-order, shine, etc.).

Areas Where I have seen the most benefit:

• Solving problems using the TOC 5 Step problem solving format.
• Using TOC to focus our improvement efforts (impact on T, I and OE).
• Using TOC language to communicate (constraints, resistance layers, etc).
• Doing Kiazen events and using 5S (sort, set in order, shine, etc).

TOC and Lean concepts are useful at work, home and play. As with anything it takes some training and a lot of work. By learning and applying the basics you can get tremendous benefits. Good luck on your journey!
